• Identity & Contact Data: Email address, username, and encrypted authentication tokens (managed securely via Supabase).
• Academic & Content Data: Chat history, text prompts, uploaded PDFs, and images submitted to the Vision Engine.
• Financial Data: Processed entirely by our Merchant of Record, Paddle. We do not view, process, or store your credit card numbers or bank details on our servers.
• Technical Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device information collected automatically for security and anti-fraud purposes.

3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to ensure the basic functionality of our platform, keep you logged in, and analyze website traffic. We do not use intrusive third-party tracking cookies to sell your data to advertising networks. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies, though some parts of the Service may become unavailable.

4. Merchant of Record (Paddle)

Our order process, tax compliance, and payment processing are conducted by our online reseller, Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all orders. When you purchase a PRO License Key, your billing data is collected directly by Paddle and is subject to Paddle's Privacy Policy. We only receive confirmation of your payment status and license generation.

5. AI Processing & Third-Party Sharing

Your academic queries and uploaded materials are processed using advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) via secure APIs. Absolute Privacy Guarantee: We have strict data-processing agreements in place ensuring that your private study sessions, essays, and uploaded documents are NOT used to train public AI models.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We only share data with essential service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, secure database providers like Supabase, and our payment processor Paddle) to operate the platform.

6. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• The Right to Access: You can view your saved chat history directly in your dashboard.
• The Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You may delete specific chats within the app, or request a complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• The Right to Rectification: You can request that we correct any inaccurate account information.
• The Right to Data Portability: You can request a copy of your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.

7. Data Security & Retention

We implement industry-standard encryption (such as TLS/SSL) to protect your data in transit and at rest. We retain your personal information and study history only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. If you delete your account, your data is permanently scrubbed from our active databases.

8. International Data Transfers

AI Study Zone operates globally. Your information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, or country, including secure servers in the United States or the European Union. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer under standard global contractual safeguards.

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

While AI Study Zone is an educational tool, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data without consent, please contact us immediately so we can remove the information.
